The Coronation of King Charles III is taking place on Saturday 6 May 2023, to celebrate Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure have hosted a number of events throughout the borough, and will continue to host activities and events for families to participate in on Saturday, the day of the Coronation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redbridge parks and leisure centres have been decorated with celebratory bunting to spread the patriotic cheer throughout the borough to celebrate this joyous occasion. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vision hosted two special Coronation wellbeing walks<\/a>, which included a walk around followed by tea and cake, these took place in Valentines Park and Hainault Forest – both of which were a huge success. Each session was full of enthusiastic walkers, enjoying the wonderful walk, fresh air, and friendly and welcoming atmosphere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, Redbridge Libraries will mark this historic occasion throughout the year, with activities focussing on the King’s passion for environmental sustainability through Craft, Activism & Action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

King Charles III is known to love sustainability and the environment, so now is your time to get involved with some planting of your own. Make sure that you don’t miss out on your very own seeded bookmark – head down to Redbridge Libraries<\/a> this weekend and grab your very own Coronation bookmark. This bookmark is made out of paper filled with seeds, so once you’re finished with it you can put it in some soil and watch it grow and flourish into a mystery plant.<\/p>\n<\/div>
