{"id":356,"date":"2019-03-19T18:47:01","date_gmt":"2019-03-19T18:47:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visionrcl.org.uk\/?page_id=356"},"modified":"2021-06-29T16:08:27","modified_gmt":"2021-06-29T15:08:27","slug":"what-can-i-borrow","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/isca00.bigwaveserver.co.uk\/~visionrc\/what-can-i-borrow\/","title":{"rendered":"What Can I Borrow?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>You&nbsp;need a library card to&nbsp;borrow items from a library including books, DVDs, CDs, eBooks and Audio books.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can I borrow? <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To use&nbsp;the online renewals and catalogue system you need your library card and pin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/llc.ent.sirsidynix.net.uk\/client\/en_GB\/redbridge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><u>Search the online library catalogue for books, DVDs, CDs and audio books&nbsp;<\/u><\/b><\/a><\/li><li>Visit your local library and ask our staff to do the search for you<\/li><li><b><u><a href=\"https:\/\/visionrcl.org.uk\/libraries-learning\/online-resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Search&nbsp;for eBooks and eAudio Books&nbsp;<\/strong><\/a><\/u><\/b><\/li><li>Have your books delivered to you for free (Home Library Service)<\/li><li>Visit&nbsp;your&nbsp;nearest&nbsp;mobile&nbsp;library<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How long can I borrow items for? <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p> Borrowing books is free.&nbsp;There are charges for some other services. <br><br>At any one time, the maximum you can borrow is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>20 books up to 3 weeks<\/li><li>5 eBooks up to 3 weeks<\/li><li>4 DVDs up to 1 week<\/li><li>2 DVDs for children up to 1 week<\/li><li>8 Music CDs&nbsp;up to 3 weeks<\/li><li>8 Audio Book sets up to 3 weeks&nbsp;<\/li><li>4 Children&#8217;s&nbsp;Audio Book sets&nbsp;up to 3 weeks<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to borrow an item for longer please ask at the library. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can return items to any library in the&nbsp;London Library Consortium&nbsp;(please print and keep receipts for your records). <strong>You must return an item back before or on&nbsp;its renewal date.<\/strong>&nbsp; If you don&#8217;t, you will be fined.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Foster Carers <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foster Carers card is available to any registered Foster Carer resident in Redbridge. Foster Carers may borrow: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>up to 20 books for up to&nbsp;6 weeks at any one time<\/li><li>2&nbsp;CDs without charge for 3 weeks<\/li><li>2 childrens\u2019 DVDs without charge for 1 week<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Redbridge Carers<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Redbridge Carers Support Service run English for Speakers of other languages (ESOL) classes at Central Library and Vision RCL provide free spaces for Carers.&nbsp; <\/li><li>Redbridge Carers can attend cultural and library events for free if accompanying someone that needs assistance.<\/li><li>Redbridge Carers can have access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/visionrcl.org.uk\/libraries-learning\/homelibrary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Home Library Service<\/a> &#8211; a service for customers who still want to read but are unable to get to their local library.&nbsp; The service is open to anyone who for any reason is confined to their home and it is a free service.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You&nbsp;need a library card to&nbsp;borrow items from a library including books, DVDs, CDs, eBooks and Audio books.&nbsp; How can I borrow?
