By volunteering in our parks you can share and learn a number of new skills as well as meet local groups and other volunteers too.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-bootstrap-blocks-container container mb-2\">\n\t\n\n<p>Redbridge has a huge range of parks and open spaces to work in, which means that there are plenty of opportunities within the borough to get involved with&nbsp;many different activities such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-3-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Planting Flowers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining Planted Areas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weeding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mulching<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Watering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pruning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining Hard Surfaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintenance Projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Leaf Removal <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Updating Noticeboards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Litter Picking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sweeping Sport Courts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-bootstrap-blocks-container container mb-2\">\n\t\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-vision-heading-stretch\" id=\"h-commitments\">Commitments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Our Parks agreements sets out commitments required from &#8216;adoptees&#8217; and Vision RCL. These can be found detailed in <a href=\"#h-our-parks-responsibilities\">Our Parks Responsibilities<\/a> below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lease for the land will not be issued. There will be no changes to landowner entitlement and Vision RCL will maintain control of the relevant areas.  The agreement does not confer any legal interest in the relevant area and confers no rights on the adoptee other than set out in the agreement.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-bootstrap-blocks-container container mb-2\">\n\t\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-vision-heading-stretch\" id=\"h-our-parks-responsibilities\">Our Parks Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please read the responsibilities below required from &#8216;adoptees&#8217; and Vision RCL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"bwm_accordion\" id=\"bwm_accordion_block_0b34143d99a3321491cf92229ecb20df\">\n    <div class=\"bwm_accordion_inner \" id=\"bwm_accordion_block_0b34143d99a3321491cf92229ecb20df\">\n                \n\n<div class=\"card\">\n    <div class=\"card-header\">\n        <button class=\"toggle_accordion_state\" type=\"button\">\n            <i class=\"fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i>\n            Adoptee Responsibilities        <\/button>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion_content\" style=\"display: none;\">\n        <div class=\"card-body\">\n            \n\n<ul id=\"block-7fe2f88a-7118-471d-84bf-ae415668287c\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The adopted area should be kept in a suitable condition. Horticultural features should be maintained to standards agreed with Vision RCL and the area should be kept free from weeds, litter and horticultural waste.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If replacing existing plants, the choice of replacement must be agreed in advance with Vision RCL.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adoptees must not prune, remove or alter any trees except for the removal of basal growth or with prior agreement with Vision RCL.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adoptees must not remove or alter any built infrastructure nor in any way enclose or otherwise appropriate the relevant land.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adoptees must allow access to Vision RCL employees and utility companies and other such lawfully entitled, should the need arise including for maintenance or inspection of pipes, landscaping, cables, signs or other infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adoptees must not plant anything likely to cause damage or injury or obstruct paths or block sight lines fro drivers or pedestrians. If in any doubt about any of the above please contact Vision RCL.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If unable to continue to maintain their adopted area, adoptees must advise Vision RCL in writing by email <strong><a href=\"emailto:parks.enquiries@visionrcl.org.uk\">parks.enquiries@visionrcl.org.uk.<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Adoptee shall comply with any other reasonable regulations in connections with Our Parks Scheme as shall be advised in writing by Vision RCL and shall provide contact details. Where the Adoptee is an organisation, contact details of an authorised person and telephone number should be provided for all communications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"card\">\n    <div class=\"card-header\">\n        <button class=\"toggle_accordion_state\" type=\"button\">\n            <i class=\"fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i>\n            Vision RCL Responsibilities        <\/button>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion_content\" style=\"display: none;\">\n        <div class=\"card-body\">\n            \n\n<p>Subject to the Adoptees\u2019 complying with the Adoptees\u2019 responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vision RCL will instruct its contractor to work in accordance with your schedule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vision RCL will provide at its own cost; support, training and materials as agreed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vision RCL will assess and authorise proposals for new plants, shrubs or bedding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vision RCL will monitor the standard of maintenance of the adopted plot as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The land will remain in the ownership of the London Borough of Redbridge.<\/p>\n\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-bootstrap-blocks-container container mb-2\">\n\t\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-vision-heading-stretch\" id=\"h-our-parks-guidance\">Our Parks Guidance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please read the below guidance on the do&#8217;s and don&#8217;ts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"bwm_accordion\" id=\"bwm_accordion_block_0b34143d99a3321491cf92229ecb20df\">\n    <div class=\"bwm_accordion_inner \" id=\"bwm_accordion_block_0b34143d99a3321491cf92229ecb20df\">\n                \n\n<div class=\"card\">\n    <div class=\"card-header\">\n        <button class=\"toggle_accordion_state\" type=\"button\">\n            <i class=\"fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i>\n            The Do&#8217;s        <\/button>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion_content\" style=\"display: none;\">\n        <div class=\"card-body\">\n            \n\n<p>Please <strong>do <\/strong>the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Begin with a review of safety procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wear proper clothing and protective gloves when picking up litter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay within your designated project boundaries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be aware of your surroundings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drink water often and take breaks on a regular basis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Report damaged signs or dangerous conditions<\/strong>\u00a0to parks.enquiries@visionrcl.org.uk or call 020 8708 3141<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a first aid kit on hand for small emergencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call 999 immediately if anyone is seriously injured, non-urgent 101.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a dust pan and broom to sweep up broken glass.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have fun.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Before eating or leaving the site please remember to always wash your hands, or use hand sanitizer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"card\">\n    <div class=\"card-header\">\n        <button class=\"toggle_accordion_state\" type=\"button\">\n            <i class=\"fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i>\n            The Don&#8217;ts        <\/button>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion_content\" style=\"display: none;\">\n        <div class=\"card-body\">\n            \n\n<p>Please <strong>do not<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Don\u2019t pick up litter in a road close to the edge of a road.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t pick up broken glass, hypodermic needles or other medical waste with unprotected hands.
