It’s Elmer the Patchwork Elephant’s<\/strong> birthday on Saturday 24 May<\/strong> – and we’re inviting you to join us for a very special Book Swap to celebrate!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elmer<\/strong> was created by children’s author and illustrator David McKee, and remains one of the most iconic and widely read children\u2019s book series of all time, selling over 10 million copies worldwide since it was first published by Andersen Press in 1989. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we’ll be holding an Elmer Day<\/strong> Book Swap<\/strong> at Fullwell Cross Library<\/strong>, Gants Hill Library<\/strong>, Goodmayes Library<\/strong>, Hainault Library<\/strong>, Redbridge Central Library<\/strong> and Wanstead Library<\/strong>, with lots of other Elmer activities taking place too.
