There is no need to book, but we do suggest you get in touch with us first to find out about how we run the sessions and what you should bring and wear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Redbridge has a wealth of open spaces, from local parks to country parks. All types of green spaces are important for wildlife and can contain a variety of habitats including woodland, hedgerows, grassland, streams, lakes and ponds.  Nature conservation ensures that these areas are protected, preserved and carefully managed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This helps to not only protect the ecology of the Borough but also gives local residents beautiful green areas which they can enjoy.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are custodians of nature in the Borough, protecting and improving spaces for wildlife. We do this by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>managing opens spaces for wildlife&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>organising public events&nbsp;and&nbsp;school trips&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>giving ecological advice to the Council<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>projects that raise awareness, create or enhance habitat and engage the public<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-vision-heading\" id=\"h-environmental-education-sessions-in-the-outdoor-classroom\">Environmental education sessions in the Outdoor Classroom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Based in Ray Park\u2019s historic walled garden, the Outdoor Classroom is home to the Nature Conservation Team\u2019s education and event space.
