Erika Meza<\/strong> developed a taste for eclairs in Paris before moving to the UK to teach drawing. She won a scholarship to study in L\u2019\u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Arts D\u00e9coratifs, where she learned to combine bold colour and mark-making with poetry.  She wrote To The Other Side<\/em><\/strong> as a reaction to the US separation policy in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flavia Z Drago\u2019s<\/strong> debut picture book, Gustavo the Shy Ghost<\/em> (2020) became a #1 NY Times bestseller. It was followed by Leila the Perfect Witch<\/em> (2022) and Vlad the Fabulous Vampire<\/em> (2023). In 2021 she won the Klaus Flugge Prize, awarded to the awarded to the most promising and exciting newcomer to children\u2019s picturebook illustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
