Join us for a day of creativity, connection, and celebration!
Inspired by the Oscar Seeks a Friend theatre storytelling show at 2.30pm, this half-term event invites children, young people, and families to step into two magical worlds — Oscar’s mystical land and the little girl’s colourful world of nature and imagination.
Creative Pop-Up Café (Hainault Room)
Relax, chat, and create with other SEND parents and carers. Enjoy tea, cakes, and creativity while learning simple botanical illustration and watercolour drawing techniques.
The Glow Room (Fairlop Room)
A sensory space for children and siblings with lights, movement, and digital sensory games — a calm and playful environment for exploration.
The Creative Zone (Aldborough Room)
Filled with stations and hands-on fun:
- Capes & Crowns Station – design and decorate your own superhero cape or friendship crown
- Cardboard & Mask Zone – build your own mystical characters
- Large-Scale Rotational Drawing – join our Oscar art session and help paint a giant collaborative artwork
- LEGO Station – build and play in a creative space
💫 On the Day
- Watch “Oscar Seeks a Friend” in the main library
- Explore quiet zones for relaxation
- Enjoy snacks and refreshments throughout the day
- Our venue is wheelchair accessible and has disabled toilets
These activities will be held in the halls at Fullwell Cross Library.
Book in advance to guarantee a spot, some drop in spaces may be available on the day.
Parents/Guardians must stay for duration of session and engage with session.
